Adding further entertainment to the Sambo experience  we bring you Jimi on percussion and backing vocals.  A consummate professional, Jimi has been playing drums for many years and has an incredible musical knowledge stemming from a family of music lovers and a keen interest in what makes the groove in any style of music come together. Jimi has played in many local bands playing a variety of genres, in his early days punching out some raggedy rock with the Boot Hill Gigolos, was lucky enough to jump on board laying the beat down for local Tassie Jazz greats the Cake Walking Babies to more recently drumming for the soulful gospel sounds of Mama K and the Big Love. His ability to perform on a stripped down kit (that has to be seen to be believed) is truly legendary, making Sambo & Jimi able to perform in the smallest of rooms to the largest venues, they can blend into the background or charge a room up for the dancers.
